Email Scam
We are aware that an email entitled 'Population Census: a message to everyone
- act now' is being circulated, allegedly in the name of National Statistician, Jil
Matheson. This email demands individuals provide further personal information, supposedly
for the Census and threatens fines for non-compliance.
This email is a scam and a
hoax. It has no connection whatsoever with the National Statistician, the 2011 Census
or the Office for National Statistics.
We believe the links in the email could download
malware to any computer where the user clicks on the links. This could put your personal
data, including financial information, at risk.
Anyone receiving this, or similar
emails, should delete them, not open any links and certainly not provide any information.

ONS takes the protection of personal census information
extremely seriously. Collection of census data was completed last year and no further
requests will be forthcoming from the Office for National Statistics relating to
the 2011 Census.

Please be on the look out for a suspicious vehicle believed to be in the Bourne Billingborough area today and could be linked to theft of trailers . The Vehicle is a LDV 400 Convoy van with extended crew compartment ,white in colour with Hewitts Ladders written on the side of it in Red writing registration number MX51 WJV .If the vehicle is seen please contact Lincs Police on 101 quoting incident 120 29th January

Sometime between 5.00pm on 27th January and 8.30am the next morning an attempt was made to break into the Bean Bag Coffee shop in Crown Walk off West street, Bourne.
A brick was thrown through a window but an attempt to open the window failed . If you saw anything suspicious in the area during the above time or have information regarding this crime please contact Lincolnshire Police on 101 quoting incident 98 of 28th January 2012 . Hello This is a Lincs Alert message from PCSO Graeme Parrott of the Bourne and Billingborough Neighbourhood Policing Team
We have received reports today Sat28th January that a male in a Blue BMW registration number AK10 BZE has been in the Bourne area attempting to sell Watches which he claims are very high value but allows you to purchase them at a much reduced price.
We would warn anybody buying such items that even if it appears a bargain at the time it seldom is in the long term, and items of this nature we would recommend be purchased from a reputable retailer when in the event of complaint you can return to the retailer

At 7.00pm on Tuesday 31st January a 14 year old female was approached by a man at the south bound bus stop on the A15 at Elsea Park Bourne. The male informed her the buses were not running and offered her a lift, The female refused and after a lot of persuasion the male gave up and drove off in a silver coloured Renault Clio.
