PC NIkKi SMITH I have been a Police Constable for over 10 years; for three and a half years I was a response and patrol officer, Dealing with all types of incidents. I also spent up to six months on the Crime Investigation Unit where I was involved in interviewing and processing files for Court. In February 2005 I joined the NPT (Neighbourhood Policing Team) I started at Grantham but took a short break from the NPT and went into the local Intelligence Unit, returning to Neighbourhood Policing, being the Beat Manager for the ‘South Division Neighbourhood Action Team’ a tasking team to assist other Neighbourhood Policing Teams with Neighbourhood Priorities and anti social behaviour in the Grantham,Spalding and Stamford areas. I took over the role of Community Beat Manager for Bourne and Billingborough in August 2010, Where I am currently based now.
PCSO SANDRA BROMMELL I joined Lincolnshire Police as Police Community Support Officer in March 2005 and after 3 weeks training I was posted to the Stamford sector. After a couple of weeks being shown the areas that are covered by this sector and getting to know my colleagues, I was given a permanent post within the Bourne and Billingborough NPT- being the first PCSO for this area. During the past five years, I have covered Bourne Town and gained an excellent knowledge of the town and community, gaining the respect and trust of the local people and being a strong link between the public and the Police, which provides me with great job satisfaction. I believe that I have changed the views and restored the faith of many members of the public in Bourne because I have always been keen to get out amongst the Community, spending time with them and solving their problems to the best of my ability. In November 2010 I took on the role of covering the rural area of Bourne and Billingborough. This area has 21 rural villages North of Bourne. This will be a challenge in its self as it is a new concept of Community Policing to me, as the rural area is wider and more diverse-but it is a challenge I look forward to.
PCSO GRAEME PARROTT I joined Lincolnshire Police as a PCSO in March 2005 and after initial training and a short posting to Stamford for area familiarisation. I have been serving Bourne and Billingborough area since then. From 2005 to 2007, I covered the rural area of Billingborough but took on the role of PCSO for Bourne Town in 2007. Whilst being a PCSO at Bourne I have introduced many schemes to assist with crime prevention such as Business Watch and I set up the first ‘No cold calling zone in the town. I do much work with Neighbourhood Watch all of which I very much enjoy.
PCSO EAMMON McLEAN Having retired from Staffordshire Police as a constable in June 2008, I joined Lincolnshire Police in October 2009 as an Imaging Technician in pursuit of my passion photography. Although this job was both interesting and rewarding, as it incorporated photography footwear forensics and speed cameras, I missed the challenge of policing, and working with the public and so applied for a job as a Police Community Support Officer, within Lincolnshire Police, and having been successful with my application I commenced employment in this role as at 1st November 2010. Having completed 8 weeks training at Police Headquarters, Lincoln, I am now working within South Division under the guidance of PC Nikki Smith and with PCSO’s Graeme Parrott and Sandra Brommell as part of Bourne and Billingborough’s Neighbourhood Policing Team.
