Victim Alan Wood
MURDER
Lincolnshire Police Have released new CCTV footage; this shows the suspect walking past the subway shop in Stamford on October 24th 2009 the day Alan Wood's body was found. The male suspect is smoking and walking with a limp, with his right leg slightly longer than his left. He is about 5.10 inches.
. Sainsbury's and the Crime Stoppers Charity are offering a reward of £60, 000 in a bid to find the sadistic killer of Alan Wood.
. Alan was subjected to extreme levels of violence, possibly as his killer tortured him to get Mr Wood to reveal his pin numbers for his bank cards.
. Small pieces of paper found in the tape used to bound the hands of Mr Wood, has been found to be a Delaine bus ticket. Detectives do not believe that Mr Wood used buses and say it is more possible that the ticket belonged to the killer.
. Men across Britain will be swabbed for DNA as part of the on going investigation. Police have a man's DNA profile from blood left at the scene but, no match has been found on the DNA database.
. Officers have also found a footprint from a trainer at the site. Research has shown that it belongs to a Converse brand trainer which is sold in two different styles. The trainer is predominantly sold in Europe and North Africa.
